A recent post on Kourtney Kardashian’s website, Poosh, delves into what it means to be autosexual
Back in 2020, a post appeared on Kourtney’s lifestyle website, Poosh, exploring the topic of autosexuality and explaining what the term really means.
So, what does it mean to identify as autosexual?
The article featured insights from Casey Tanner, the founder of QueerSexTherapy, who defined autosexuality as “a trait wherein one is turned on by engaging in their own eroticism.”
The therapist shared that even something as common as masturbation can be a form of autosexuality, with this type of pleasure potentially achieved through visualization, touch, and even smell.
He added: “Autosexuality may extend beyond sexual behavior to include feeling a longing or desire for oneself.”
The article provided several ways for people to feel more comfortable and sensual with themselves, suggesting that dressing up just for oneself or even taking time to relax in a bath can be part of it.
“‘This might mean wearing sexy lingerie, even if your partner hardly gives it a second glance,” the post reads.
“And it could mean dancing in the mirror in a cute outfit. If feeling sexy independent of someone else has ever turned you on, that’s autosexuality, and it’s totally normal.”
“Many folks resist autosexuality, fearing that it’s narcissistic or might detract from partnered sex. In reality, autosexuality can be a healthy, even valuable, part of your sex life.”
One image of the elaborate display showed a staircase lined with pumpkins, while another showed two inflatable skeletons arranged in a pretty risqué pose.
One skeleton was seated, while the other appeared to be mounting it, potentially giving a nod to Kourtney and Travis’ well-known public displays of affection.
One person commented: “That Skeleton position? Really?”
“You have children and you think the skeletons’ positions is appropriate. Ugh tacky,” wrote another.
Kourtney and Travis, who tied the knot in 2022, recently welcomed their son, Rocky.
