Jennifer Lawrence is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming raunchy sex comedy film No Hard Feelings. The actress revealed that she wants to do ‘R-rated’ films only from now on. And, Jennifer also went on to share the reason behind her decision.
In the wake of her latest project, ‘No Hard Feelings,’ Lawrence has expressed her decision to exclusively pursue ‘R-rated’ films moving forward.
The comedy film rated 15, premiered on June 26. Despite its content, Lawrence expresses no concerns about her one-year-old son watching it when he’s older.
At 32 years old, Lawrence welcomed her son Cy in February 2022 and shares him with her husband, Cooke Maroney.
She tells TalkRadio: “Everything I’ve learned from other actors is that your kids will never ever want to watch your movies or hear about them.”
This conversation hints at the possibility of seeing Lawrence take on more raunchy roles in the future.
“I was never against it, but you’ve seen the movies that come out. I don’t want to name anything specifically, but there hasn’t been anything that funny.”
And although she can’t quite put her finger on what she was feeling during the making of No Hard Feelings, Lawrence says: “If that’s my sweet spot, then I don’t ever want to do anything else.”
She also expressed feeling remarkably confident throughout the entire filming process, indicating a positive and fulfilling experience.
Despite Lawrence’s successful venture into raunchy comedy, she humbly acknowledges Cameron Diaz as the ultimate icon of R-rated comedies.
Lawrence recognizes Diaz’s significant contributions to the genre and respects her as a trailblazer.
The father emphasizes his desire for Maddie to fully commit to dating his son, prompting her to promise to engage with him passionately and intimately.
He said: “I think Jennifer Lawrence is really goofy in this movie, in a way that she hasn’t been in the past.”
“There’s a decent amount of physical comedy, and Jennifer Lawrence is very committed to it. It was a very funny set.”
