A chilling YouTube animation of a woman being swallowed by a massive python has left viewers deeply unsettled.
Pythons are known for eating various animals, typically small creatures like rodents and lizards. Larger pythons, however, are capable of taking on monkeys or even antelope.
While cases of these snakes attacking and consuming humans are extremely rare, one such horrifying incident occurred in 2022 when a woman disappeared, with a python quickly suspected to be the cause.
The real-life case
In October 2022, a 54-year-old woman named Jahrah from Indonesia tragically went missing while gathering rubber from a plantation in the Jambi province. She was last seen heading out for her daily routine.
All that was found of her belongings were her sandals, a jacket, her headscarf, and a knife. When her husband returned to the area the next morning, he noticed a massive python nearby with a visibly swollen body.
Local police chief Hamka told AFP, according to the BBC: “Residents were suspicious the snake swallowed the victim, so they killed it, then carried it out of the garden.”
Betara Jambi police chief AKP S Harefa confirmed the tragic discovery to local media, as reported by the BBC: “The victim was found in the snake’s stomach.”
The snake’s size was reported differently by various sources, with estimates ranging from 16 feet to an astonishing 23 feet. To offer a chilling perspective on what may have happened, a simulation was created depicting the horrifying event.
The simulation
YouTuber Zack D Films shared a detailed animation on his channel yesterday (December 16), showing what it might look like if a python swallowed a person. The video aimed to recreate the terrifying scenario.
The narration in the video began: “A 23-foot python ambushed a woman, constricting her limbs tightly and swallowing her whole.”
“Searchers found her sandals and machete scattered on the ground, but saw no sign of her.”
“And when they cut it open, they were horrified to discover the missing woman’s body inside, fully intact.”
It didn’t take long for the internet to react, with viewers flooding social media to share their thoughts on the chilling animation.
